1. RULING: [6-1-2] Team A is offside on a free kick. (a) B 1/10 B25 or A f/k A30. Team B may elect to have the 5-yard penalty enforced from B's 20 following the touchback. (b) B 1/10 B35 or A f/k A30. Team B may elect to have the penalty enforced from the end of the run, B's 30, since Team B is in possession and there was no second change of team possession during the down. (c) B 1/10 B20 or A f/k A30. Team B may elect to have the penalty enforced from the end of the run, B's 15, since Team B is in possession and there was no second change of team possession during the down. (d) B 1/10 B15 or A f/k A30. Team B will elect to have Team A rekick which is the only penalty option. There is no run and no touchback.

2. RULING: The free kick is from A's 35. (a) The clock starts on the next snap. The clock does not start if the Team B player cleanly recovers the ball while grounded. (b) The clock starts on the next snap. The clock does not start if the Team B player completes the fair catch. (c) The clock starts when the ball is muffed by the receiver. (d) The clock starts when the ball is muffed by the receiver. (e) The clock starts when the ball is muffed by the receiver. (f) The clock would not start until the ball crossed the plane of B's goal line coming out. Thus, the clock will next start on the snap. 4. RULING: Team A's free kick is from A's 35. (a) B 1/10 A46. Free kick out of bounds. The out of bounds precedes the touching. Team B will decline the penalty. (b) A f/k A30. Legal recovery. Team B will accept the penalty for the Team A player going out of bounds voluntarily and then returning inbounds during the down. (c) B 1/10 A46. Legal play. There is no restriction against a Team B player going out of bounds voluntarily and then returning inbounds during the down. (d) B 1/10 A46. Free kick out of bounds. The out of bounds precedes the touching. Team B will decline the penalty. (e) B 1/10 B10. The Team B player touched the ball before the ball was declared out of bounds. Although not relevant, the catch was never completed.

5. RULING: A Team A player in the rectangular area blocks an opponent. (a) A 1/10 A31. Legal block. The block was from the front. (b) A 1/10 A31. Legal block. The block was from the front. (c) A 1/10 A31. Legal block. The block was above the knees. (d) A 1/20 A10. Illegal block in 2005. The block was from behind and at or below the knees. (e) A 1/20 A10. Illegal block in 2005. The block was from behind and at or below the knees.

6. RULING: Team A is lined up for a play from scrimmage. (a) A 2/15 A25. False start. The back simulated the start of a play. (b) A 1/10 A45. The tight end need only pause in the backfield before going in motion since he was the only Team A player moving. (c) A 2/15 A25. Illegal motion. A lineman may not be in motion at the snap. (d) A 2/15 A25. Live ball foul. Illegal motion. The player in motion may not be in motion toward his opponent's goal line. (e) A 2/15 A25. Dead ball foul. False start. The wide receiver simulated the start of a play.

7. RULING: Team A is in a hurry up offense with about three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. (a) A 1/10 A40. Legal play. No substitutions were made. (b) A 1/10 A40. The ball may be snapped after meeting requirements of (7-1-3). Team B does not have special substitution privileges when Team A is in a real hurry up offense. 8. RULING: The run ended beyond the neutral zone on A's 35. (a) A 1/10 A35. Legal play. A delay is required by the second blocker for a chop block when this block is in or behind the neutral zone. (b) A 1/15 A15. A high-low block with or without a delay is a chop block beyond the neural zone. The 15-yard penalty is enforced from the spot of the foul, A's 30, which is behind the end of the run. (c) A 1/10 A35. Legal play. A delay is required by the second blocker for a chop block when this block is in or behind the neutral zone but the second block must be low to be a chop block. (d) A 1/17 A13. A high-low block with or without a delay is a chop block beyond the neural zone. The penalty is enforced from the spot of the foul, A's 26, which is behind the end of the run. (e) A 1/20 A10. Chop block since the second block was delayed and at the thigh or below. The penalty is enforced from the previous spot since the foul occurred behind the previous spot.

9. RULING: The ball is advancing toward Team B's goal line. (a) Touchdown. The live ball in player possession broke the plane of the goal line without crossing the sideline. (b) Touchdown. The live ball in player possession passed over the pylon (A.R. 8-2-1-III). (c) B's 1 - out of bounds. The live ball in player possession crossed the sideline on B's 1. (d) Touchdown. The live ball in player possession broke the plane of the goal line extended while the player was inbounds. The runner is grounded as opposed to airborne. (e) B's 1. The ball in player possession becomes dead at its foremost point in the field of play. (f) Touchdown. The live ball in player possession broke the plane of the goal line extended while the player was inbounds. The runner is grounded as opposed to airborne.

10. RULING: After the play, determine if the clock started on the snap or the ready. (a) Snap. There was a scrimmage kick during the down. (b) Snap. The referee will invoke Rule 3-4-3 to prevent Team A from possibly using 49 seconds prior to the snap. (c) Ready. Team A next puts the ball in play. There was no scrimmage kick and the clock was not stopped to award Team B a first down.
