2. RULING: B 1/10 B32. A player of Team B who has made a waving signal for a fair catch and does not touch the ball shall not block or foul an opponent during that down. The 15-yard penalty is enforced from the spot of the foul when the foul occurs during a free kick. The down is replayed if the penalty is declined.
3. RULING: A 1/goal B6. The 15-yard penalty is enforced half the distance from the end of A33's run, B's 12. The result of the play is a safety. It is likely that Team A will accept the penalty and not take the two points for the safety unless the score and time remaining is a factor.
4. RULING: A 3/2 B12. The legal forward pass crossed the neutral zone. The foul was against an eligible receiver but behind the neutral zone. The 10-yard penalty is enforced from the previous spot but no longer carries a first down. Rule 9-3-4-e does not apply.
5. RULING: Safety. B f/k B20. Team A scores two points. The field goal is ruled unsuccessful since the ball touched a Team A player before crossing over the crossbar between the uprights. Postscrimmage kick enforcement does apply when a field goal attempt is unsuccessful. The basic spot is B's 20. The foul occurred behind the basic spot in B's end zone.
6. RULING: B 1/10 B10. The result of the play is a safety. B55 provided the impetus although he did not commit a foul when he batted the ball backward. The fact that the ball became dead in Team B's end zone under the momentum rule was trumped by the fact that new impetus was imparted by the batting by B55. You cannot bank the exception to the momentum rule. This rule was superceded by the new impetus. The 10-yard penalty is enforced from Team B's goal line.
7. RULING: A 1/10 B12. A82 does not foul because A82 does not touch the ball. B24 does not foul because A82 lost his eligibility when he went out of bounds. There are no fouls. The down ends with A88 in possession on B's 12. The play clock cranks up at 40 seconds.
