2. RULING: Safety. B's ball, free kick, on B's 20. It is a safety if the penalty is accepted or declined. Team A scores two points. The penalty will be accepted which means that the period must be extended. The period would not be extended if the penalty is declined. If Team B had the wind in the first quarter, Team A would decline the penalty.
3. RULING: A's ball, 1st and 10, on B's 13. Postscrimmage kick enforcement does not apply since Team A is in possession when the down ends. The advance by B44 is legal since B44 touched the ball before the ball touched the ground in B's end zone. Acceptance of the penalty for illegal batting would result in a safety if B44 did not fumble and Team B had possession of the ball when the down ended. If the penalty did not result in a first down, Team A may want to take the ball, 1st and 10, on B's 24. It would be a touchdown if, after the bat, a Team A player caught or recovered the ball in B's end zone.
4. RULING: Safety. A's ball, free kick, on A's 20. While a pass is in flight, any player eligible to touch the pass may, with one exception, bat the ball in any direction. A77, ineligible to touch the pass, commits an illegal batting foul. The spot of enforcement is the spot of the foul since the foul occurs behind the previous spot, A's 6.
5. RULING: A's ball, 2nd and 18, on B's 48. A88 commits a false start. The 5-yard penalty is enforced from the succeeding spot, B's 43. The two personal fouls offset each other. The two penalties cancel. The penalty for the first personal foul was not completed when the second personal foul occurred. Only dead ball personal and unsportsmanlike fouls can offset each other. If A44 had not fouled, Team A would have the ball on B's 33, 1st and 10.
6. RULING: Safety. B's ball, free kick, on B's 20. The ball remains a live ball in B's end zone since the ball was touched by a Team B player before touching the ground in Team B's end zone. The ball became dead when touched by A88 who had a foot touching the sideline. The bat by B22 is legal since the ball was batted backward while in the field of play. However, the bat imparts new impetus. The play is reviewable.
7. RULING: A's ball, 4th and 10, on A's 30. The play is reviewable under "A legal forward pass touched by an ineligible receiver". However, since the penalty is a loss of down at the previous spot, there is no need to buzz the officials. However, the officials will be buzzed if there is a foul by Team B during the down resulting in offsetting fouls.
