2. RULING: B 1/10 A42. A87 commits an interference with opportunity to make a fair catch foul. The 15-yard penalty is enforced from the spot of the foul, B's 43. If there was no foul, the ball would next be put in play at the spot of the muff, B's 42. If B82 did not give a valid signal, there would be no foul and the ball would be put in play at the spot of the catch, B's 44.
3. RULING: B 1/10 A18. Team B wants the ball so will take the ball at the inbounds spot where the backward pass went out of bounds. Team B may not elect penalty enforcement from where the subsequent dead ball belongs to Team B since this is not a scrimmage kick play. If Team B accepts the penalty, it is a safety since the enforcement spot is in Team A's end zone. Team B might consider accepting the penalty if they are behind by nine or more points late in the fourth quarter.
4. RULING: A 4/22 A18. The period is not extended since Team B will decline the penalty. Thus, Team A has to punt into the wind to start the second quarter. Whether Team B accepts or declines the penalty, Team A will next put the ball in play on A's 18, 4th down (7-3-7-c).
5. RULING: A retry B4 at right hash mark. The 15-yard penalty is enforced half the distance from the previous spot, B's 8. Team A may not next snap from the left hash mark, nor from behind B's 4, since Team A previously fouled on the try.
6. RULING: A 1/10 A/25. The clock starts on the snap. The play is reviewable under "A kick that is advanced by the kicking team after a muff by the receiving team" (12-3-3-h). Accidentally kicking the ball is considered a muff. The ball becomes dead when recovered by A72. Team A next puts the ball is play since a Team B player touched the ball after the kick crossed the neutral zone. The replay official may assist the referee with the spot of A72's recovery as well as the time on the game clock when A72 gained possession (12-3-3-f).
7. RULING: B 1/10 A38. The play is reviewable based on "a loose ball touching a side line, goal line or an end line (12-3-1-e). This rule includes a loose ball being touched by a player who is out of bounds. The play is a free kick out of bounds foul since the out of bounds precedes the touching. The 5-yard penalty will be enforced from the spot where the subsequent dead ball belongs to Team B, A's 43. If B96 was not out of bounds, it should be A's ball on A's 44. However, if the officials spot the ball on A's 45, the play would not be reviewable.
